WHAT ARE SOIL AMENDMENTS?
The goal of a soil amendment is to achieve the optimal growing environment for your plants roots to grow in. Usually any soil you get in a product like Bokashi Pro Gro will have added nutriant additives in to give your soil better abilities such as water retention, water absorption and increased organic matter. Dirt amendments create the perfect foundation for any growing environment.
WHY USE SOIL AMENDMENTS?
One of the main reasons for using soil amendments is to improve the pH level of your dirt. Plants rely on dirt for most of their nutrients and prefer a slight acidic pH level for optimal growth (near-neutral range of 6.0 to 7.0 pH). Having a pH level that suits your plants will give your plants access to all the nutrients they need from the ground, creating an overall better environment for your plants.
